WATER RESISTANCE

We use waterproof Xpac and water resistant zipper but we only seal our seams on the "Sealed" Wallet. BOTH of these Wallets are water resistant and NOT water proof. The sealed version is VERY water resistant while the stitched version is mildly water resistant.

I bought a couple of the stitched seam models, one for my wife as a gift and one for myself. They were created and shipped to me very quickly. The material seems as if it will be quite durable and the quality of the workmanship is top notch. It looks great and it works great too.
I suspect it will last for a long time. It is a superior product and well worth the investment.

I don't work for CTUG, but I would if they'd let me. Their gear is just that great. In addition to the two water bottle sleeves, I also picked up one of these for my upcoming thru-hike. Every stitch has the opportunity to wick water into a seam. Our Sealed Wallets are permanently bonded and have no stitches, therefore no leaks. The teeth of the zipper is the sole reason we classify our Sealed Wallets as VERY water resistant, not waterproof.

Stitched Seams

Our Stitched Wallet is not seam sealed but still offers some water resistance. Water can enter through the seams if submerged but they'll handle a splash of water or light rain no problem.

Sealed Seams

Our proprietary method of sealing the seams on our Wallets leave the sealed version VERY water resistant. Our seams are not taped or glued but rather bonded together to create a permanent seal.
