When hiking in bear country you want your bear spray to be securely attached, but easily accessible for deployment. This is what the CTUG Bear Spray Holder aims to do! Our patent pending design conveniently holds the spray on the shoulder and out of the way, while remaining easily deployed and aimed with one hand!

Using a modified version of our universal attachment system, you can now attach your bear spray to the shoulder strap of any backpack!

The circular arms snap fit around the neck of all the most popular bear sprays, and the shockcord holds the canister in place. This ensures that the bear spray is held firmly and does not sway or bounce while hiking.

When it is time to deploy the spray, simply pull the canister out and away from you by the finger loop and point directly at the bear. This design allows for easy and fast one handed deployment. Other holsters and sleeves that have compressive and Velcro closures, require two actions or two hands to get the spray out for use. Since my Backpacking Packs do not have hip belt pockets, I had been looking for a good strap pocket for my trail snacks that was adjustable enough for use with my daypacks.
I also wanted a shoulder strap mounted 700mm water bottle pocket since I can never reach the bottle from the side pockets of the backpack. I bought a set of each from CTUG. They are made well with good materials and are very adjustable. I like them so much I gave one set to my daughter which means I will be ordering another set.

Love this addition, I chose to get the sealed seams since I’m using it for electronics. My battery back up fits in it as well as 2 phones. I’m under 20lbs with food and water, I can take 2 phones, lol. For me it’s about convenience and the weight is negligible, so worth it!

The Zipper Pocket is wonderful to put your phone/satellite messenger/snack bar/sunglasses. In a world where hip pockets aren't big enough to hold a phone, this is very valuable. Because the pouch is actually deep, the pocket can hold my phone that's 6.2". Quality is great. I've snapped it on my Gregory Octal pack and it stays put! I'm probably going to get one for every pack I own.

I have been looking for a water bottle sleeve and a strap pocket to fit my large phone with case (7" x 3.5").
